Scanner Marine at Cannes 2026: three Envy maxi-RIBs combining power, sportiness, and comfort

Scanner Marine is gearing up to play a leading role at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, scheduled for September 8–13 against the familiar backdrop of the French Riviera. The shipyard will be located at Port Vieux, Stand PAN 034, displaying a selection from its Envy range that effectively showcases the brand’s design philosophy: large Maxi-RIBs capable of pairing performance and comfort with a bold sporty calling.

The Piedmontese shipyard will bring three outboard models to Cannes: the flagship Scanner Envy 1500 powered by twin Mercury V12 600s, the Scanner Envy 1200 with twin Yamaha XTO 450s, and the Scanner Envy 1100 paired with twin 350 hp Honda Marine engines. It is a comprehensive lineup covering three different sizes in the range, highlighting the versatility of outboard propulsion on large vessels.

Scanner Envy 1500: Scanner Marine’s Flagship

Headlining the Cannes lineup will be the outboard version of the Scanner Envy 1500, the flagship of Scanner Marine’s Maxi-RIB range. With an overall length of 15.20 meters and a maximum beam of 4.40 meters, this model takes the Maxi-RIB concept into a realm where comfort and performance coexist with features typical of large motor yachts.

The setup selected for Cannes features twin Mercury V12 600 engines, delivering a total output of 1,200 horsepower. The design is built to handle up to an impressive 2,400 horsepower, allowing owners to configure the Envy 1500 to suit varying needs—from a refined long-stay cruiser to a high-performance Maxi-RIB.

The deck design was developed to highlight the walkaround layout. Two wide side walkways lead to the large aft beach club, creating seamless functional continuity across the exterior areas. This layout makes moving around on board effortless while enhancing the connection to the sea.

The bow area also plays a central role. In fact, the Envy 1500 elevates living standards for this class, offering interior volumes with dimensions and headroom reminiscent of major motor yachts. The synergy between outdoor spaces, below-deck living quarters, and flexible engine configurations broadens the boat’s overall versatility, accommodating up to 18 people on board.

Scanner Envy 1200: Sportiness and Habitability

Positioned right below the flagship is the Scanner Envy 1200, a 12-meter Maxi-RIB that offers a distinctly sporty interpretation of performance and comfort. In Cannes, it will be presented with twin Yamaha XTO 450 outboards for a total output of 900 horsepower. Here too, the engineering permits an increase in power up to 1,800 horsepower, paving the way for significantly performance-oriented configurations.

The outboard version of the Envy 1200 accentuates the model’s racing spirit without sacrificing its elegant character. The shipyard relied on a timeless profile featuring a prominent T-top and signature Italian styling, where the exterior colorways and interior finishes create visual continuity.

Below deck, the layout is designed for genuine extended stays onboard. The accommodations feature a large forward cabin, bright interiors, and an anteroom with a separate head. This balance between performance and liveability is what sets the model apart: the Envy 1200 works equally well for fast, sporty cruising or as a platform for spending full days at sea. 

Measuring 12 meters in length and 3.80 meters in beam, the Envy 1200 carries CE Category B certification and can host up to 18 passengers.

Scanner Envy 1100: The Compact and Aggressive Maxi-RIB

Rounding out Scanner Marine’s presence in Cannes is the Scanner Envy 1100 Outboard—the most compact of the three displayed Maxi-RIBs, though no less defined when it comes to performance. The model will feature twin 350-horsepower Honda Marine outboard engines for a total output of 700 horsepower, with configurations scalable up to 750 horsepower.

The Envy 1100 starts from a more aggressive design ethos, underlined by a sporty T-top protecting the center console. Yet its more compact proportions compared to its larger siblings do not compromise comfortable living on the water: the deck layout includes two sunbathing areas, while below deck provides a cabin space with a bed and head, engineered to offer ample room relative to the hull’s dimensions.

With an 11-meter length and a 3.60-meter beam, the Envy 1100 retains the 18-person capacity of the larger models. The result is a character-driven Maxi-RIB with more accessible dimensions than the Envy 1200 and Envy 1500, built around a framework tailored for sporty navigation and versatile use.

A Range Designed to Interpret the Maxi-RIB Concept

Exhibiting the Envy 1500, Envy 1200, and Envy 1100 together allows Scanner Marine to demonstrate three distinct takes on the exact same design premise at Cannes. The common thread is the fusion of generous volumes, outdoor living space, below-deck comfort, and high-performance outboard power. This setup frees up interior room while allowing the boat’s personality to shift through varying engine choices. The Envy 1100 represents the most compact and sporty offering, the Envy 1200 shifts the balance further toward speed and liveability, and the Envy 1500 expands spaces even more, venturing into luxury Maxi-RIB territory.
