Bow and stern thrusters make docking manageable, but they take abuse — short, high-load duty cycles overheat motors, salt water attacks housings and anodes, and gearbox seals fail silently until the bilge fills with water. Regular thruster service prevents the problem you only discover when you need the thruster most.
